Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag (October 2015)

Each new month, the Rainbow Honey mystery bag features sample sneak peeks from upcoming collections and future releases, plus a selection of their custom blended fragrances and body care products.

The mystery pack comes with a letter detailing the products, along with information on upcoming products, RH news, and deals they are offering for a limited time.

I'll start with the body care products:

The Bubbly Lip Balm (0.15oz) - Did you hear?  The Bubbly is coming back in December and to celebrate its return, they give you, the Bubbly Lip Balm.  A new flavor to compliment the Bubbly fragrance.  The flavored lip balms have been formulated to nourish and protect your lips... packed with Maracuja Oil and Vitamin E, the moisturizing lip balms will soothe and protect dry lips all year long.

The Bubbly Solid Perfume Balm (0.15oz) - Formulated with tons of shea butter and natural skin loving oils, this is a great "pick me up" to dry skin spots all over and leaves behind the popular Bubbly scent.

Fall Bouquet Bubble Bath (1oz) - Formulated to produce rich and creamy bath bubbles, the Fall Bouquet Bubble Bath, a light and fragrant blend of apples, wildberries and fall flowers, provides a relaxing bubble bath experience and leaves you feeling refreshed and soft.  Apply small amount to warm tub water and enjoy!

I did not care for the lip balm.  It tasted like the perfume smelled.  Blech.  But I did like the perfume.  It was neither too flowery or too fruity.  Very mild.  Same goes for the bubble bath, which I used as a shower gel.

Each of the nail polishes included in the mini bag I subscribed to for $10 are 7.5ml, which is not only half the size of the full-size products, but the perfect size for those of us who have entirely too many polishes.

La Isla Morada Nail Lacquer - Does the Island of Purple really exist? This captures what it would look like with the deep purple lacquer sprinkled with black glitters, white shards and iridescent shimmer to create a purple island oasis on your nails!

Magic Brix Nail Lacquer - Are you ready for another Magic World preview?   Meet this shiny brick red crème that you'll have to stomp through to get to the next level.

My Midnight Garden - This color is quite the standout for an evening manicure.  A deep midnight emerald green with a hint of blue shimmer for added twinkle.  This will be part of the Midnight Garden Collection, set to be re-released in early 2016.

I thought the curation of these nail colors was MUCH better than previous bags.  Very season appropriate.  Magic Brix is a nice shiny, solid color.  La Isla Morada is a pretty Halloween-y purple with flicks of glitter.  My Midnight Garden is a lovely deep blue with a hint of sparkle.

I have so many fingernail polishes, I keep thinking I might cancel my subscription, but I LOVE the body products, especially the lip and hand care items, and just can't. I'm always looking forward to what else they'll send me in addition to the polishes.

The Monthly Sweet Box is a tasting bonanza.  Every month, they feature five deluxe items highlighting their best marketplace finds. The subscription is $15 plus $4 shipping.  Your plan is auto-renewed on the same day every month, no need to worry about forgetting to order.

  • Learn about the makers behind the sweets, fall in love with their story, and see why the desserts taste so amazing
  • Never guess what you’re eating again, it’s not a secret. Know every ingredient that was in the desserts they bring you.

Orange Glad includes a full-color, detailed guide with information about each treat and the companies that create them.

Here's what I received this month:

Maple Pecan Shortbread, A Couple of Squares, London, Ontario - An ode to Canadian flavors, this shortbread cookie filled with pecans and topped with a maple glaze will surely bring out the autumn spirit.

Fall Harvest Buttercream Cookies, Cheryl's, Westerville, Ohio - Brisk air, colorful leaves, there's no doubt that fall is upon us.  Enjoy these melt-in-your-mouth buttercream cookies with a cup of hot tea in this changing, beautiful season.

The maple pecan shortbread was a very sweet treat.  There was that crispness that lets you know it's a shortbread.  The pecans were plentiful and the maple glaze made them smell like pancakes.  Both my husband and I really liked them, but beware.  If you don't have a true sweet tooth, they are SUH-WEET!  My favorite thing in this box was the buttercream cookie.  I love buttercream more than life.  And so soft.  Perfect cookie for me!

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Wafel, Rip Van Wafels, San Francisco, California - They believe in the power of experiencing the Rip Van Wafel Ritual as it allows you to stop, reflect, and be present.  While you're waiting for your drink to cool down, heat your wafel on your hot coffee or cup - and enjoy a mindful break!

Cranberry Almond Biscotti, Bella Sophia Baking Company, Glastonbury, Connecticut - To dunk or not to dunk, that is the question.  Either way, this delectable biscotti with tart cranberries and toasted almonds are irresistible.

The "wafel" was really interesting.  The dark chocolate was like a cocoa-flavor.  The salt was not overwhelming, and the wafel was very soft.  The biscotti was the perfect consistency.  I liked the cranberry.  It made for a new, interesting flavor.  Perfect for dipping in a hot green tea.

Pumpkin Spice Cookies, Salem Baking Co., Winston-Salem, North Carolina - These Pumpkin Spice Moravian Cookies capture the tastes of autumn with the finest exotic spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves.  Enjoy this with a cup of tea while sitting on your porch and watching hours pass as the leaves fall.

My husband, the hater of all things cinnamon, loved these cookies!  The spices were very unassuming.

I'm impressed by the curation of this box.  Everything was autumnal and just so good.  However, I still would've liked a brownie!

Glossybox (September 2015)

Glossybox is a monthly subscription that delivers beauty products - hair care, skin care, makeup, perfumes, tools, etc. to your door for $21 per month if you buy the monthly plan, but that price goes down if you buy a 3-, 6- or 12-month subscription.

Glossybox carries some of the best brands in beauty.  Each box contains five items from full-sized to deluxe samples.  Following are the contents of my September box:

NAILS INC Nail Polish in Uptown (0.47oz FULL-SIZED, $14.00) - Smoothing out any imperfections on the nail, this highly pigmented formula utilizes a plumping agent to create a long-lasting, super glossy finish. Its flattering dusty rose hue easily transitions from day to night, complementing every skin tone.

EMITE MAKE UP Artist Colour Powder Blush in 108 (0.35oz FULL-SIZED, $22.00) - Craving perfectly sculpted cheekbones?  Seamlessly create definition with this warm, peach-toned blush.  Infused with mica, its intense pigments promote a natural, radiant glow.

12 BENEFITS Love at First Lather Foaming Hair Shampoo (1.7oz FULL-SIZED, $9.00) - Summer sun giving you a cringe-worthy mane? 12 Benefits' unique foam delivery provides the TLC your hair has been asking for, sans the harsh chemicals.  Sunflower extract and coconut oil combine to act as a natural sunscreen, repair texture and protect the cuticle, all while gently removing impurities.

BIOSSANSE The Revitalizer (0.05oz, ~$1.71) - Squalane is a naturally occurring emollient in the body that works to replenish and hydrate the skin that can diminish in some as early as their 20's.  The Revitalizer uses a plant-derived squalane to restore what was once already there.  Dull skin will be a thing of the past!

JULEP Luxe Up Your Lips in Sheer Coral (0.42oz FULL-SIZED, $24.00) - Let's face it, year-round lip hydration is a must.  To combat dryness, Julep has combined natural ingredients vitamin E and omega-rich pumpkin seed oil with a cooling Zamac tip applicator to formulate a tinted gloss that soothes, hydrates, and plumps lips.

This box had a total value of $70.71, which is GREAT!  I apologize though, the makeup was not my colors, so I'm sending them on to people who will put them to good use.  Also, the revitalizing treatment seems to be a lovely addition, but I'm overloaded on skin products similar to this one.  I would have a long wait before I used it.  I am excited to use the shampoo (would've loved the accompanying conditioner), but I'm in the middle of a hair... experiment.  So this was more of an unboxing than a review.  I am looking forward to next month!

Allure Beauty Box (September 2015)

Allure Beauty Box is one of my favorite subscription services.  A little background:

"Allure editors uncover the most noteworthy beauty products on the market, from hair and makeup to skin care, fragrance, and more.  Then, they personally try and review each product, hand-selecting the ones they love — and know you'll love, too.  And finally, here comes the fun: a glossy red box is delivered directly to your doorstep filled with the expert-approved products that are sure to become your new favorites."

Here's what's included:
  • Five to seven deluxe-size beauty samples—so you can use each one more than once
  • Curated mix of skin, hair, and makeup products, as well as fragrance
  • Allure mini-mag, packed with in-depth beauty sample product reviews written by Allure editors

I really dig the mini-mag.  Very professional and so much information on the products!  Definitely the best, most descriptive tool I've seen in any box.  Each page has a "What It Is," "How It Looks/Feels," "Why We Like It" and the retail price of the full-sized item.  Some products have a "What It Does," as well as a "Key Ingredients" list.  A lot of people have allergies or find certain ingredients affect their skin in negative ways, so I think this bonus information is great.

Here's what I received:

KAPLAN MD Cellular Rejuvenating Concentrate (0.1oz, $17.00) - An anti-aging serum made without parabens, sulfates, petrolatum, caster oil, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, animal ingredients, or animal testing.  Fights wrinkle and increases collagen, and has a faint apple scent.

PIXI BY PETRA Glow Tonic (0.5oz, ~$2.21) - An alcohol-free toner that exfoliates and brightens skin. Key ingredients are glycolic acid for exfoliation, aloe vera for soothing and softening, and witch hazel for antiseptic effect.

ERNO LASZLO Firmarine Bar Soap (0.6oz, ~$5.09) - A moisturizing soap that cleans and softens your skin.  Key ingredients include spirulina maxima (a moisturizing algae extract that contains iron, an essential fatty acid called GLA, beta-carotene, and vitamin V12), shea butter (hydrates), and vitamin E and C (antioxidants).

I chose to forgo using the Kaplan MD anti-aging serum.  Am I crazy you ask?  Apparently.  I have so many anti-aging serums that I just adore so someone else should enjoy this one.  The Pixi toner was lovely.  It smelled like the Cetaphil soap I love so much with a slight astringent.  It left my skin feeling tighter and soft simultaneously.  Definitely a must-have.  And last but not least, the Erno Laszlo bar soap.  The mini-mag claimed it to have an expensive-smelling beachy scent.  My husband and I laughed at that.  But I get it!  It's not all coconut oil and heavy sea breeze that's often WAY overdone.  You have to smell it to understand.  And my hands feel very soft, not dry, even after several uses.  I haven't tried it on my face yet.

TANGLE TEEZER ($15.00) - A handle-less plastic brush for detangling wet or dry hair.  The spiky disk fits in your palm and has pliable plastic bristles that glide through hair.

ALTERNA Replenishing Moisture Milk (0.85oz, $5.00) - A leave-in conditioning spray for hair made without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.  Hydrates and adds shine to dry, brittle hair.  Key ingredients are dimethicone for smoothing, glycerin for moisturizing, caviar extract and vitamin C for adding glossiness and shine, and Seasilk marine botanical blend for damage-repairing.

My husband claimed the Tangle Teezer because he's all about his hair.  He grows it out for Locks for Love so I can't blame him.  He found it nice and soft.  It didn't pull his hair at all.  As far as Alterna products go, those are mine and mine alone.  It had a clean scent and leaves my hair soft and stylable.

SOAP & GLORY Pillow Plump XXL Lip Gloss in Pinkwell (0.13oz, ~$5.35) - A pale-pink gloss that claims to plump up your lips.  Opaque coral-pink in the tube, it goes on as a sheer petal pink that's unusually shiny and definitely sticky at first.  And though your brain may expect a mint or bubble gum scent, surprise!  It totally smells like chocolate.

JANE IREDALE Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener (0.24oz, ~$6.78) - A moisturizing makeup primer.  It's as slippery as a serum, with a light-pink tint and a scent like fresh orange juice.  It provides as much moisture as a lightweight lotion,, packs in antioxidants and soothing ingredients, such as aloe and green-and white-tea extracts.  It's safe for sensitive and redness-prone skin.  If large pores are an issue, it blurs those remarkably well.  And it helps absorb excess oil, making it ideal for combination skin.

The Pillow Plump lip gloss... well, it does in fact go on as a pale pink and not coral, which is why I decided to use it (I do not like corals), and it is sticky at first, AND it does indeed smell like chocolate.  Beyond that... it burns, like the dickens!  My tongue very lightly touched my lips and it began burning as well.  Nor did I notice any plumping, so...

I calculate this September box to have a value of $56.43, which is OUTRAGEOUS.  And so much variety!  This is definitely the best box I've received, and I've gotten a lot of Allure boxes.  Even though I won't use everything, I couldn't be happier.  Can't wait to see what's next!

Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag (September 2015)

Each new month, the Rainbow Honey mystery bag features sample sneak peeks from upcoming collections and future releases, plus a selection of their custom blended fragrances and body care products.

The mystery pack comes with a letter detailing the products, along with information on upcoming products, RH news, and deals they are offering for a limited time.

I'll start with the body care products:

Way Cooler Body Mist (5ml) - Enjoy the light and airy body mist formula with Way Cooler.  A refreshing blend of pears, quince and acai berries for that much needed pick me up.  Way Cooler is part of the upcoming Magic World collection.  The moisturizing body mist is formulated to refresh your skin and hair and is alcohol and paraben free.

Vanilla Plains Cooling Gel (1oz) - The moisturizing aloe vera gel formula leaves behind cool, soft skin and scented with a sneak peek from the upcoming Magic World collection, Vanilla Plains.  Vanilla Plains is an epic vanilla cake aroma and is one of the secret ingredients to magic world.

Chocomint Valley Soap Bar (1.5oz) - Chocolate mint lovers... cleanse and moisturize your skin while delighting your senses with the newest soap bar from the upcoming collection, Magic World.  Meet Chocomint, a true blend of dark chocolates, mint and cocoa.  Enjoy!

The pear stood out predominately in the body mist.  While pleasant, it was rather... sweet.  The cooling gel left a delicious scent.  I'm about to lick my hands.  The chocolate mint soap did smell good.  I wanted to eat it.  But I'd recommend that companies making chocolate soaps maybe stay away from the brown color, ridiculous as that may sound.  Aesthetically it looks like a lump of poo.  I myself would not use it as a guest in a friend's home.

Each of the nail polishes included in the mini bag I subscribed to for $10 are 7.5ml, which is not only half the size of the full-size products, but the perfect size for those of us who have entirely too many polishes.

Just Sugar Coat It! Nail Lacquer - Inspired by the ever adorable and colorful sugar swizzle sticks, this adds a shiny sweet glaze with depth adding iridescent glitters and shimmer to any manicure.  Just Sugar Coat It! is part of an upcoming Sugar Glaze collection featuring all swizzle stick colors.

Underwater World Nail Lacquer - From a far away place called Magic World, comes this magical glitter topper packed with bright stars and white dust shimmer.  Everything looks different underwater!

Truffle Cappuccino Cuticle Oil (15ml) - Fall Treats Sneak Peek Alert!  Belgian truffles, espresso blended with steamed milk and a touch of spicy cinnamon makes this a cozy coffee house aroma.

I was rather disappointed in the polishes.  They were both glitters, and looked remarkably similar on a clean nail.  I think I am just glittered out.  Plus, these colors are not good for the coming autumn months.  I loved the chocolate coffee scent of the cuticle oil, but more and more I believe that isn't significant because the smells are covered by the polishes and top coats...

I have so many fingernail polishes, I keep thinking I might cancel my subscription, but I LOVE the body products, especially the lip and hand care items, and just can't. I'm always looking forward to what else they'll send me in addition to the polishes.

Mugler Addict (September 2015) by Thierry Mugler

I had been wrestling with becoming a Mugler Addict for a while, because I'm not much of a perfumista.  I get tons of samples from subscription boxes and sites like Sephora, and I have designed my own fragrance which is already perfect for me.  In fact, I'm allergic to many perfumes and some give me headaches.  So why would I want to become a Mugler Addict?

Because I'm addicted to subscription boxes.  That's why.

There's a card in each package.  This one reads on the front:

"Embark on an enchanting journey!"

"This summer, escape to the world of Mugler where dreams and fantasies come true.  Delight all your senses with a unique combination of scents and textures just for you."

"Dare to explore new fascinating territories and an explosive new scent!"

The back of the card describes all of the products that were included in this quarter's box.

ANGEL EAU DE TOILETTE (0.1oz, ~$4.86) - The exquisite ANGEL Eau de Toilette reveals a new dream.  The uniqueness of ANGEL reinterpreted as an addictive fragrance, sensual, provocative and finely nuanced.

ANGEL Perfuming Hair Mist (0.17oz, $6.80) - Give a burst of freshness to your hair.  This delicious and featherlight perfuming hair mist leaves a clean, long-lasting feeling, while infusing your hair with the celestial scent of ANGEL.

First, I love that the Angel Eau de Toilette came in an adorable mini.  It's a little on the powdery side and strong of alcohol on first smell, but once on the skin, it fades into a lovely light fragrance.  I LOVE the hair mist!  It has the beautiful scent of Angel, but I also pick up some fruitiness.  I will use this frequently.  Very fresh.

LE EXCEPTIONS - CUIR IMPERTINENT (0.05oz, ~$4.17) - Disruptive. Addictive. Timeless.  The smokiness of tanned leather meets the unexpected explosion of star anise to create a unique scent.  Perfume yourself with brazen sensuality...

ALIEN Radiant Shower Gel (1oz, ~$6.76) - Enriched with oil, the silky texture of ALIEN Radiant Shower Gel turns into delicate foam when wet.  Experience an instant of pure pleasure and refreshing cleanliness.

I'm a big fan of Le Exceptions Cuir Impertinent.  It's super sexy.  I love the star anise smell and it fades into the tanned leather.  Great addition to the Thierry Mugler line.  The shower gel is so soft and sensual and does not leave a strong perfumey smell after use.  Just a nice, fresh scent.

A*MEN EAU DE TOILETTE (0.04oz, ~$1.88) - A*MEN, Thierry Mugler's first masculine fragrance for the adventurous, confident and distinctive.  This fiery woody fragrance will help you accomplish all your missions of seduction.

BONUS!  MUGLER SIGNATURE LUGGAGE TAG - This summer, travel in style with your very own Mugler luggage tag.

I am not usually a fan of men's colognes, but I would wear this myself!  It has the standard Angel smell with the woodiness that just tips it to masculine.  I don't think, however, that my husband will like it because it does come across as unisex.  But if he does I will be very pleased.  The luggage tag is a wonderful addition to this box.  Mugler does a nice job with their bonus items.  This tag is well-made and will look great on my luggage.

A Mugler Addict subscription is $50 per year and you get four boxes a year, which comes out to $12.50 a box.  If I cannot find the same product size on the site for sale, I figure the cost of the fragrance samples and minis based on the 1.7oz size, or what's available.  Not including the value of the luggage tag which I am unable to determine, the total value was $24.47, so that's a great value, especially since I will use everything!

So far, I'm really glad that I decided to become a Mugler Addict.  Wish I'd done it sooner.  Cannot wait to see what they have in store for me next quarter.

Glossybox (August 2015)

Glossybox is a monthly subscription that delivers beauty products - hair care, skin care, makeup, perfumes, tools, etc. to your door for $21 per month if you buy the monthly plan, but that price goes down if you buy a 3-, 6- or 12-month subscription.

Glossybox carries some of the best brands in beauty.  Each box contains five items from full-sized to deluxe samples.  Following are the contents of my August box, and my impressions of each:

GLAMGLOW YouthCleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser (1oz, $7.80) - Designed to gently exfoliate, cleanse and renew skin to create a more youthful, glowing complexion, this transforms from a luxurious mud into a gentle and effective foaming lather that dissolves makeup and impurities and removes dead surface cells.

I liked this cleanser but I'm a big fan of mud masks.  This did clean nicely.

SPARITUAL Nail Lacquer in Fall In Love (0.5oz FULL-SIZED, $12.00) - Slow down and channel your inner zen with this creamy polish that delivers a long-lasting manicure with its patented, specially designed brush.  Thanks to its vegan, responsibly sourced ingredients, SpaRitual is ushering in a healthier way to paint your nails without the harmful chemicals.

LOLLIPOPS MAKEUP Lip Balm in Delicieuse (0.33 FULL-SIZED, $5.50) - A summer necessity for the sun-worshipping goddess in all of us, this lip balm protects against UV rays and pollution with its paraben-free formula.  It is also rich in antioxidants, which include tepescohuite extract, a Mexican plant known for its regenerative capabilities, and nutritive macadamia nut oil so chapped lips will be a thing of the past!

I'm not using the nail polish because I have SO MANY!  It'll get passed on to a worthy recipient.  The lip balm is absolutely delicious.  In addition to being moisturizing, it tastes like vanilla cookies.  Loving it!

POP BEAUTY Kajal Pen in Sooty Black (0.03oz FULL-SIZED, $10.00) - Whether you want to create a rocker chic smokey or the classic cat-eye, take your black liner to new heights with this intensely pigmented kajal pencil.  The smudgable, matte formula glides on effortlessly and can be used alone or over eyeshadow to define the eye.

MANNA KADAR COSMETICS Lash Primer (0.14oz FULL-SIZED, $24.00) - Retire those false lashes and debut a fierce flutter by adding this lash primer to your beauty routine.  Acting as a base for your mascara, this primer nourishes your lashes to prevent flaking while ensuring your look stays on from morning to night.

I used the liner for my husband's and my Halloween makeup.  The black matte color went on great for thick black coloring around my eyes, and doubled as an easy to remove lipstick for my husband.  I won't be using the lash primer.  It's just too much of an extra step in already complicated makeup routine.  Really, how many products are we supposed to be using now!!!

This box had a total value of $59.30, which is really good!  I won't be using everything but the I got a fair amount of usable stuff that made the box worth it.  Looking forward to next month!

Try the World - Argentina (August 2015)

"We all wish we could travel more often, but short vacation times and expensive travel tickets make it near impossible to live that sweet life of luxury. Thus was born Try The World: a ticket to the foods and cultures of the world delivered to your door."

When you become a subscriber to Try the World, you receive a box of delicious gourmet food from a different country every two months!

There are three different subscription payment options that auto-renew at the end of the specified period. With all three options, you will receive a box every two months.

Bi-Monthly: $39 every two months
Semi-Annual: $105 every six months
Annual: $198 every twelve months

"Each box is curated by local, expert chefs who select the most authentic and delicious items from each country."

Included in the box is a product description card, as well as a culture guide, which I'll touch more on at the bottom of the article.

I'd also like to apologize for my Hispanic readers.  I do understand the importance of symbols over certain letters, but I cannot figure out how to insert them.

In my Argentina box, I received the following:

VANOLI Chimichurri - Parsley, garlic, oregano, red pepper, and olive oil for the Argentine culinary staple - chimichurri.  This robust sauce is commonly served on the side as a dip for meat and vegetables during large Argentine barbecues known as asados.  Vanoli's sauce will add a gentle smoky heat to your dishes; use it on a steak to enjoy a true gaucho meal!

MEMORIES OF PATAGONIA Malbec wine marinade - Perfect for seasoning lamb, pork, or turkey, this marinade will soon become an essential part of your next backyard barbecue.  It is made with succulent berries from Patagonia, honey from local pampas, and Malbec wine from Mendoza.  So add a taste of tradition to your grill, and enjoy grilled meat like you never have before.

I liked both of these very much.  The chimichurri tastes like a mix between barbecue sauce and salsa, two things that don't sound like they'd be good together, but is surprisingly pleasant.  It's nice on tortilla chips as well.  The marinade tastes more like a jam.  I'm kind of interested in trying it on some biscuits or toast.

BAKE LOVE KOO! Butter Cookies - With mouthwatering flavors and only the best ingredients, these cookies will be your go-to dessert.  Whether it's a late-night treat, or served with an afternoon cup of tea surrounded by a close circle of friends, Koo! ensures a delicious, sugary experience for all.

DONA MAGDALENA Dulce de Leche - In a country with more cattle than people, fresh milk is a given.  This gourmet dulce de leche is made with natural ingredients and with the best breeds of cattle, by the family-owned Magdalena company.  This milky marmalade is the national jam of Argentina, a caramel topping that can be eaten right from the jar or drizzled over ice cream, chocolate, or cake for a decadent treat.

Okay, not too big on the cookies.  They were really dry and I didn't pick up a lot of flavor.  The dulce de leche on the other hand was a super rich caramel flavor.  You'd definitely want to tone it down with some ice cream.  That being said, it's positively delicious.

MQA GOURMET Green Olive Paste - Green olives are freshly pitted and ground to make this delicious green olive paste.  An Argentine take on the traditional Southern French tapenade, this spread is the key to making the tastiest canapes at your next garden party.  Enjoy it with a Fernet cocktail (a dark liqueur with hints of licorice) for an authentic experience any porteno will attest to.

CHAMANA AND INTI ZEN Argentine Teas - Using only authentic Latin American ingredients, Chamana and Inti Zen curate their teas with the help of internationally recognized artisanal tea-blenders.  Enjoy exclusive flavors in this box, such as Don Juan with dulce de leche and red fruits, or yerba mate, the national drink of Argentina.  A cup at the end of a long day is all you'll need to reach bliss.

DULCOR Dulce de Membrillo - A fruit spread enjoyed from Buenos Aires to Patagonia that dates beck to the Spanish occupation.  You will find it in bolas de fraile (spherical pastries with hints of vanilla and lemon), and in the typical fruit-filled pies, pastafrola.  Cut it in thin slices and enjoy with goat cheese, or top of a piece of toast for breakfast.

HOLY MOLY!  Now I LOVE green olives, but this was way overwhelming!  Just too, too much for me to enjoy, and it was what I was most looking forward to trying.  I haven't tried the teas because I simply haven't been in the mood for teas, but they will get used.  The dulce de mebrillo was tasty on some buttered toast, just use a small amount.  Very fruity, although I could not make out the individual fruits.

The Argentina Culture Guide was a very informative pamphlet.  There was a letter from the founders, Kat & David, a biography of the Argentine expert, Adolfo Suaya, a recipe for cornflour alfajores with dulce de leche, as well as pieces on the tango, futbol, asado barbecues, Argentine music, Argentine movies, and Argentine poetry.  That was a lovely addition to a box dedicated to different cultures.

I really like this package.  Talk about authentic!  I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and the education I received.  I've actually studied much of Hispanic culture throughout my schooling, so this was a great brush-up.  I strongly endorse TRYing THE WORLD!
