Candy Club (February 2015)

Each Candy Club shipment includes:
  • A carefully curated selection of the most popular, premium candy from timeless classics to contemporary favorites packed into three of our signature containers (up to 3 pounds).
  • A unique surprise confection which our candy-loving experts have scoured the globe to find for your enjoyment.
  • A delicious splash of all-time favorite goodies.
I got a great deal for this box.  They normally cost $24.99 + $6 shipping, but I got my first box for $9.99 + shipping.

The box came festively decorated with sturdy, artful candy containers, and a helpful card detailing all of the candy included.  I received:

Haribo Gummi Techno Bears - A new twist on Classic Gummi Bears, with vibrant, shiny colors and fruity flavors of cherry, sour raspberry, and apple.  These are sure to become a new favorite.

Sour Power Wild Cherry Belts - Sour Power's exciting new flavor of Wild Cherry is sure to thrill your senses with lip-smacking tart cherry tang in every bite. Since 1985, candy lovers of all ages have not been able to get enough of Sour Power's wildly popular, mouth-watering sour belts.

Gimbal's Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans - Located in San Francisco, Gimbal's has been delivering smiles and fine candies since 1898. Their mouth-watering Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans are made with Real Fruit Juice in 12 unique and irresistible sour flavors including
: blueberry, pomegranate, grapefruit, cherry, apple, mango, strawberry, lemon, tangerine, and watermelon.

Sweet's Salt Water Taffy - Sweet Candy Company is one of the oldest family-owned and operated companies in the United States, founded in 1892 and offering its iconic salt water taffy since 1910.  Instead of using the traditional Eastern shore method of pulling the taffy, Sweet's taffy is whipped to perfection.  The result is an amazingly soft, non-sticky and deliciously flavorful treat.

The Premier Candy of the Month Club

Butterfields Peach Buds - Butterfields' hard candies have been "disappearing from candy jars since 1924".  Their signature Peach Bud flavor is as popular today as it was back in the roaring 20's.  The delicious combination of fresh peach nectar and sublime coconut is a match made in paradise heaven.
I was pretty thrilled with this Candy Club box.  The gummi bears were flavorful, but a little chewy.  The candy belts were like fruit roll-ups but with a tangy, tart sugar coating.  The jelly beans were probably my favorite.  They had all the great taste of modern jelly beans, but with the authenticity of the jelly beans from my childhood.  The taffy was delicious, but I sure would've liked to have receive a few different flavors.

The only thing I didn't care for were the peach buds.  But I'm not really fond of peach flavored products.

All in all, this was a great start!  I can't wait to see what Candy Club has for me next.
